The Golden Circle, Iceland

This is probably the most popular sightseeing tour of Iceland.
Here’s why –

The infamous Strokkur Geysir

I am truly fascinated by this. This Geysir erupts every 5-8 minutes. The water is 80 to 100 degree celcius. Incredible!
You will also spot Little Geysir. Quite cute actually, but seems to be very active. This area has high geothermal activity. You might not be fascinated by the smell around here but it truly is amazing to see the wonders of nature.

As you leave the Geysir and arrive the waterfall area, you will have no idea what you are about to enter. It is SUPER gorgeous here. Definitely worth the trek!

The beautiful Gulfoss

Thingvellir National Park

Last stop! This is where the continents divide; North America and Europe. You can even swim between the two tectonic plates. My courage level isn’t there yet but perhaps one day…

Beauty, beauty and beauty all around you! (Yup, that sums up Iceland for you).
